“Tudou” („Babzsák”), aki épp most tölti be 19. életévét, nagybátyjával és idősebb testvérével él egy sanheyuanban, vagyis hagyományos kínai udvarházban. Megszokta, hogy egészen fiatal korától magáról kell gondoskodnia, sokszor kockázatos, a jog szürke zónájában mozgó munkákat vállal. A tajvani Yunlin megyében élő fiatalok szívesen változtatnának sorsukon, de a körülöttük lévő világ is állandó változásban van. Vajon a még kamaszként munkába álló és családot alapító fiatalok gyermekeinek is hasonló sors jut majd?
“Tudou” („Couch potato”), who just turns 19, lives with his uncle and older brother in a Sanheyuan compound (traditional Chinese court-house). He starts to fend for himself at an early age and takes on high-risk jobs of labor, even ones in legal grey areas. A group of young people from the countryside of Yunlin, Taiwan are eager to turn their lives around, but life is ever changing. When they join the workforce and start a family at an early age, will their children share the same fate?
RENDEZŐ ÉS PRODUCER LIN Yu-en
LIN 1986-ban született Tajpejben. A londoni Goldsmiths Egyetemen szerzett diplomát fotográfia és városi kultúrák szakon. Jelenleg a Chengchi Egyetem Kommunikációs Főiskolájának végzős hallgatója. Karrierjét fotóriporterként kezdte, jelenleg vizuális művészetekkel foglalkozik. Az In Their Teens az első dokumentumfilmje.
DIRECTOR & PRODUCER LIN Yu-en
LIN was born in Taipei in 1986. He obtained a degree in Photography and Urban Cultures, Goldsmiths, University of London. He’s now a grad student in the College of Communication, National Chengchi University. He was a photojournalist and now a visual artist. In Their Teens is his first short documentary.
