A-Fu edző ifjúsági csapatában három tinédzser súlyemelőlány versenyzik. A lányok mind a kaohsiungi őslakosok közül, a pasikau törzsből származnak; sorsukban közös, hogy árvaházban, elvált családban vagy a nagyszülőknél nőttek fel. Mindennapjaikban – a nehéz súlyok emelgetése mellett – egyéni céljaik és a családjuk által rájuk rótt felelősség terhét is cipelniük kell.

A national weightlifter coach A-Fu founded a teenage weightlifting team with three aboriginal girls from Pasikau Tribe in Kaohsiung. These girls were either raised in an orphaned or single-parent home, or by their grandparents. Burdened with familial responsibility and personal goals, their challenge is not only to lift the heavy weight plates, but defy the odds in their arduous lives.
